"When we started planning our wedding I did a search of local dj's in the Tallahassee area. Luckily I came across Denny, The Wedding DJ's website and read some of the good things people had to say about him. I sent him an email to ask him some questions and get his pricing which I must say is beyond reasonable for what you get! Denny responded back to me within hours of my email and answered all my questions and we scheduled an appointment to meet and discuss what my needs were. All along he was very organized and very professional. I gave Denny all of our song choices for the reception and he created a time line/schedule which not only kept him on top of things but also helped everyone else out. :-) The reception was a blast and everyone had a fantastic time. I don't mean to brag but I have never seen so many people dancing at a wedding reception! Denny was absolutely phenomenal! He really made sure the events of our wedding went as smooth as possible! Dylan and I did not know much about the order and inner workings of weddings and Denny made wonderful suggestions and helpful tips. Denny really went above and beyond to make sure Dylan and I got everything we had hoped for. Above all, he really listened to us and made sure he understood everything thoroughly to the point that Dylan and I were never concerned about our DJ being fantastic. Hello Denny,

You know there's always a hint of uncertainty when you hire a service without any prior knowledge about the folks doing the job. But without doubt you more than delivered outstanding quality services on my daughter's wedding day at Windmark Resort. Once we met in Tallahassee, I was fairly confident we had done the right thing in hiring "The Wedding DJ". But with a major crisis of the lack of electrical power where we needed it at the ceremony site and no one available to fix "it", I found my "guts" churning. But when you arrived earlier on Saturday than you had to and did not stop until you "fixed" the crisis, I stopped worrying or stressing over that whole aspect of the wedding. You did a very professional job with genuine interest and concern for helping to make the wedding a happy memory for everyone. Also you used your years of experience in timing to know the best times for all the aspects of the evening including when to wind the reception up - leaving our guests wishing the night could go on forever... perfect....

We will be sure to recommend you to anyone who is looking for someone to provide high quality services. We'll also tell them that not only do you get great service, you also get to make a new friend....

Cory Smith Bar Mitzvah 5/23/09

Wow!!! What a great time. Everyone, and I mean everyone, was up and dancing all night. I was so busy I didn't get enough pictures, especially since my battery went dead. I brought twice as many games as I needed and the action never stopped. Here's Cory's Mom...

Why it's O.K. to pay too much...

I'm not the least expensive Wedding DJ, nor am I the costliest. Instead, I charge a reasonable rate for very good service and an all-inclusive package...which is why I always work with you to be sure you get the very most for your money. Brides, understandably, don't always comprehend the whole entertainment process. It is an art to bring many generations together and have them all experience a really fun time. If there are three DJs with three different prices...they might be nice guys and sound good on the phone so you decide, let's go with the cheapest. What's being left out of consideration is the level of professionalism, capacity to perform, talent or attention to detail and your specific needs. It is almost always unwise to buy the cheapest, because, well, read on:

"It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought is incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do.

Amanda and Paolo at Wakulla Springs

No matter what time of year, the Lodge at Wakulla Springs is such a nice setting and the staff is great. Amanda and Paolo have to be a couple of the nicest people I have ever met and their friends and family were dancing up a storm. We had a good sized contingent from South Florida, so the night featured it's share of Salsa. Here's what Amanda and Paolo said - "Thank you so much for being a part of our wedding. Everyone had such a great time and it wouldn't have been possible without you." Christie Merresse did another awesome job on the pictures.

After another great reception last night, I was thinking (and talking) about how lucky I am to be doing something I love and I was asked what the highlights are...in other words, what's a good day? The things that make this the most fun are: I get a huge amount of satisfaction in being partially (OK, mostly) responsible for people having a good time, I take it very personally in ensuring the bride has the best day of her life so far and then she tells me exactly that, I really like using my equipment because I'm a music lover and I get to share my huge system with everyone...more or less in that order. I also remembered a wedding I did after seeing that the bride is doing a new movie with Renee Zellwegger and Harry Connick Jr. called "New in Town". You may remember Siobhan Fallon (not related to Jimmy although they both starred on Saturday Night Live) as Elaine's roommate on Seinfeld, the bus driver in Forrest Gump or as Alec Baldwin's sister on 30 Rock. The point here is, although she was already very famous at the time I Emcee/DJ'd her reception, Siobhan was just like every other bride...frantic, happy, expectant and deserving of a good job by everyone she hires. Siobhan had an awesome reception in Cazenovia, New York just outside Syracuse and she thanked me for it. That's what I work for...from every bride...because you deserve to start your new journey with a strong step in the right direction. Just thinking out loud.

Here's what Mallory had to say about the most important day of her life so far..."The meetings with THE WEDDING DJ went great. He had everything in order and it only took about 20 min. to get everything just right. The reception was awesome and THE WEDDING DJ got everyone involved. What a great time...for everybody! Mallory and Matthew's wedding was attended by nearly 200 people, and held at Capitol City Country Club in Tallahassee. I love wedding receptions because I get to be part of very happy times and travel the entire state of Florida and Georgia doing beach weddings, destination weddings & theme weddings...but it's really nice to be right here in the center of the Panhandle in good old Tally with it's familiar faces, places and like all of Florida and Georgia, no shortage of people who know how to party.
